Jobing Description

The Alumni Relations Director is responsible for the planning, implementation, and oversight of programs designed to engage and steward an ever growing alumni body of over 18,000. Alumni Relations works in concert with other departments in the Advancement Office and throughout the College in planning and development to maximize engagement opportunities for alumni, to identify and steward lead volunteers, and to advance the mission of the College through alumni outreach and advancement programs. The Director plans and administers comprehensive local, regional, and national programs, to involve the alumni in the life of the College while creating a climate that fosters engagement and financial support for the institution.

Requirements:

A bachelor s degree and a minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience is required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in alumni relations in a similar academic environment including supervising volunteers and event management. Must be detail oriented, have excellent writing skills, and have solid experience in MS Word and Excel.

The successful candidate will have a professional and positive attitude towards their work, the mission of the institution, and the goals of the college. Adaptability, continuous learning, strong critical judgment, a commitment to diversity and teamwork, and providing quality services are some of the staff competencies required for success at Champlain College
