Job Summary/Basic Function: Provide hands-on leadership in the development, implementation and technical support services related to networks, servers, and related devices in support of the research initiatives for the Center for Clinical and Translational Science. Respond to and resolve computer-related queries and serve as a resource for on-going biomedical research initiatives. Serve as the primary technical liaison with external collaborators.
Minimum Qualifications:
(or equivalent combination of education and experience) Bachelors degree in computer science or related discipline and four years of practical experience to include MySQL or similar SQL environment. Ability to script in contemporary scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Ruby, Python); Basic Linux system administration skills; Ability to work in heterogeneous operating system environment (Windows, OS X, and Linux); Web programming (e.g., PHP, Ruby on Rails, or .NET).
Desirable Qualifications: Experience in healthcare environment, including with electronic health records, or experience informatics, information science or related discipline.
