The Department of Surgery and its affiliated medical enter, Fletcher Allen Health Care, is recruiting a full-time academic ophthalmologist. This individual must have completed a board approved 3- or 4- year ophthalmology residency and clinical neuro-ophthalmology fellowship, and be board certified or board eligible, and eligible for medical licensure in the State of Vermont. This academic appointment will be in the non-tenure clinical track at the Assistant or Associate Professor level commensurate with experience and training.
Duties will include providing clinical care to ophthalmology patients, teaching the principles of ophthalmology to medical students and undergraduate students in Allied Health programs, providing teaching experience for residents in training, developing basic and/or clinical research, and performing additional departmental and/or sectional administrative duties as assigned by the Chair of the Department of Surgery.
This is a full-time, 12-month, salaried, faculty appointment and carries with it attending staff privileges at Fletcher Allen Health Care. Salary is competitive and commensurate with ability and experience.
