Palliative Care Physician Position Advertisement:

The Department of Family Medicine at the University of Vermont/Fletcher Allen Health Care invites applications for a family physician who is board certified or eligible in Hospice/Palliative Medicine to join our Palliative Care Service. This position will include Directorship of the Hospice of the Champlain Valley. Hospice of the Champlain Valley is a component of the Visiting Nurse Association of Chittenden/Grand Isle Counties. Clinical focus and/or experience in an in-patient palliative care consultation program and hospice directorship is desired. The selected candidate will join a busy, innovative, and multidisciplinary palliative care program which includes three physicians and three advanced practice nurses. The academic appointment will be at the Assistant/Associate Professor level; non tenure clinical track, commensurate with experience. Our program supports academic and professional growth while affording excellent quality of life. Our faculty participates with teaching in the University of Vermont/Fletcher Allen Health Care Graduate Education programs and our pre-doctoral educational curriculum.
