Within Nokia the Services unit embodies our strategic emphasis on developing and growing consumer Internet services. The Services unit works closely with the marketing and sales functions to create maximum consumer awareness and top-line growth. Within the Services unit, the Services Architecture team is responsible for the direction and design of the both the services platform and the services built upon it.

Systems Management and Tools team within CCOD (Cloud Computing Operations Delivery) is building a team to develop, deploy and support Services Management systems. Scope for the team includes platforms for system management, monitoring, asset management, configuration mgmt, analytics systems and logfile management. For this team we are looking for talented and seasoned engineers to perform evaluation, development, deployment, support of increasingly sophisticated automated services management systems. You will work under the guidance of a Development Manager with a mission to rapidly and continuously improve Nokias capability to deploy and run consumer services on 10 000s of servers.

To succeed in this role, you need to a solid background in Linux and UNIX based systems, TCP/IP networking and development skills with dynamic languages and scripting languages such as Perl, Python and Bourne Shell. You love to instrument your systems and extract every bit of available data for performance optimization and debugging.

Qualifications

Required:

* 3-5+ years in systems, software and/or network engineering
*

4-5+ years experience in JavaScript (ExtJS Framework), PHP (Zend Framework), Perl and Python.

* Experience with Object oriented programming, SQL, databases and large data sets.
* Deployed commercial or open source services management and monitoring systems
*
3+ years of experience architecting, implementing, developing and integrating BMC Monitoring solutions.

*
Good Linux and Open source Internet services stack knowhow

* Developed or operated TCP/IP network protocols or infrastructure
* Developed or operated Internet Services and/or Datacenter infrastructure
* Thorough understanding of management of Linux and UNIX-like systems
* Thorough understanding of asset management and CMDB in a large scale operations environment
* B. Sc. or higher in a relevant discipline (CS, Math, EE, )
* Excellent written English
* Good collaboration, communication and presentation skills
