Description

SUMMARY: The Software Developer/Analyst III Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for providing focus and skills on the improvement of the GMCR Enterprise Reporting needs through the use of information systems and technology. This position is focused on business process analysis, information consistency and contributing to team efforts to provide increasing value with decreasing costs to the users of Enterprise Business Intelligence.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work hand in hand with Business Owners and other Systems Developers in support of Enterprise Business Intelligence solutions as part of the GMCR enterprise systems architecture

Develop Enterprise Reports for all parts of the Green Mountain Coffee Roasters business

Develop Data cubes as needed to support Reporting.

Develop ETL processes to support Enterprise Reporting for all parts of the Green Mountain Coffee Roasters business

Develop and maintain documents for requirements, design, implementation, and maintenance of the information systems tools and technology

Work with the Enterprise Business Intelligence Team in support of development or enhancement of information systems solutions as needed

Perform support and maintenance on information Systems tools and technology in support of Enterprise Business Intelligence

Research, develop and/or enhance tools to monitor and maintain the health and reliability of the Enterprise Business Intelligence solutions.

Acquire new skills and knowledge of information systems tools for Enterprise Business Intelligence.

Research best practices and techniques to improve the business processes

Work with Enterprise Business Intelligence Team in support of analyzing business goals, rules, and processes across various information systems tools and technology

Work with Enterprise Business Intelligence Team in support of simplifying, enhancing and engineering or re-engineer business processes.

OTHER NECESSARY FUNCTIONS:

Follows all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by GMCR and the department.

Performs other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

BS in Computer Science or a related field

7 or more years experience in systems analysis, business process re-engineering, and software development implementation

2 or more years experience in Data Warehousing

Experience with Business Intelligence reporting solutions preferably using Microsoft Reporting Services/Analysis Services.

Experience with Business Intelligence ETL solutions preferably using Microsoft SSIS

Familiar with report design techniques especially working with cubes as well the ability to help determine Green Mountain Coffee Roasters reporting needs.

Experience writing reports for Supply Chain Management or Sales and Marketing is a plus.

Ability to write effective/efficient/complex SQL and/or MDX queries

A passion for writing reports to help the business become more effective

A clear grasp of the big picture in business, ability to see across the departments and follow the interaction between departments as business processes are executed.

A passion for learning new technologies, applying technology in the solution of business problems and solving problems to root cause

Experience in relational and data warehouse database Architecture and Design

Strong attention to detail is a must

Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

Ability to work independently

Ability to work in a professional team environment

Ability to follow GMCR policies and procedures

Ability to work a flexible schedule

Positive attitude with ability to work in a fast paced environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Predominately sedentary light office position with high frequency of keyboarding/computer work required (67% - 100% of the workday).

An offer of employment for this position will be contingent upon the individual successfully completing a pre-employment physical and job skills assessment, as provided by a GMCR selected physician. This individual will also be required to authorize GMCR to run a Criminal Background Check. The examination, job skills assessment and criminal background check must be completed prior to the first day of employment.
