Job: Survey Methodologist - Burlington, VT

ICF International is seeking a Survey Methodologist with experience in designing multi-mode data collections for household and establishment surveys. The successful candidate is responsible for developing questionnaires that meet the research objectives; designing data collection strategies appropriate for reaching the target population; evaluating survey outcomes; analyzing complex survey data; writing analytic and methodological reports; and designing and executing methodological experiments. The survey methodologist will work on research teams that include project managers, substantive experts, statisticians and computer specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

* Work with other research staff members on the design and implementation of complex research designs
* Design and test questionnaires (e.g. focus groups and/or cognitive interviews)
* Identify improvements in survey processes to reduce cost and/or improve response rates.
* Communicate methodological concepts with clients and other project team members verbally and in writing
* Serve as lead author for technical proposals
* Present research papers at professional conferences and submit articles for publication in journals

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

* Master's Degree required. PhD in sociology, psychology, survey methodology, statistics or related field with focus on research methods preferred.
* Minimum of five years experience designing multi-mode surveys
* Knowledge of measurement and analyses for behavioral research
* Ability to conduct multivariate analyses using complex survey data
* Ability to analyze data using SAS and/or SPSS
